Roles and Responsibilities of Business Intelligence Analyst
1. Gathering and Combining Data:
- Collect information from various sources, such as external APIs, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Before analysis, ensure data consistency and accuracy by cleaning and verifying the data.
2. Analyzing and Interpreting Data:
- Utilizing data mining and statistical methodologies, analyze massive databases to find trends, patterns, and insights.
- Analyze data to get actionable insights in supporting business decisions.
3. Reporting and Graphics:
- BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView allow you to create and manage reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Give stakeholders a clear and intelligible presentation of the data findings.
4. Assessment of Performance:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other measures to assess the effectiveness of corporate strategy and operations.
- Offer analysis and suggestions for enhancing performance.
5. Forecasting & Predictive Modeling:
- Created and managed predictive models to predict future developments and trends in business.
- Utilize past information to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
6. Working Together and Communicating:
- Understand the demands and requirements for data from business stakeholders, such as executives, managers, and department heads, by working closely with them.
-Effectively convey findings and insights to stakeholders who need to be more technical.
7. System and Tool Management:
- Managing and optimizing BI tools and systems ensures practical data analysis and reporting.
- To improve data analysis skills stay current on the newest BI technology, tools, and best practices.
8. Resolving Issues & Troubleshooting:
- Determine and fix problems, contradictions, and inconsistencies with the data.
- Workflows and data processes should continuously improve to provide accurate and trustworthy data analysis.
Requirements
BA Business Administration required
MBA Business Intelligence preferred
